You can be able to see overspray, its usually these white specs all over your paint which makes it feel a rough texture when you glide your hand over the panel. Why does this happen?
Usually this happens when someone or construction is painting outside and dust is carried over by the wind and creating tiny paint particles to land on your vehicle.
If the paint overspray is on your window, then its usually on your paint, trim, wheels and maybe inside your interior if you leave your window open which could be a headache.
It can be a tidy and long process to remove the overspray because it lands almost all over your vehicle’s exterior part of your vehicle and would want to bring it back to a smooth texture again.
Doing It Wrong, Can Harm Your Paint
It looks and can be annoying, but it will not help if you use a towel, razor, or a brush to remove the paint because it most likely will not be removed and you will do harm to your vehicle’s paint.
Trying to remove the overspray with a plastic razor or rubbing vigorously will add more work to your vehicle because you will cause swirls and scratches.
Even with the safe way, it can cause some minor marring and swirls to the paint because some overspray is harder to remove than others. A light polish will be needed if marring is caused.
Let’s say you aggressively try to remove the paint then it would need another process such as a Paint Correction to remove the swirls and scratches that you have caused.

Will paint overspray damage my vehicle?
We have done many of overspray removals and we have seen paint sitting on the paint for long times and we were still able to remove it with the proper procedures. No damage was shown after or permanent damage was shown, we are just removing the unwanted paint.
Can you remove overspray from any parts of the vehicle?
Yes, we even removed overspray from inside an interior but we are much more careful when it comes to interiors because it could damage your interior leather, panels or plastic so let us take care that. As far as the outside glass, wheels and trim we are able to remove it but not to the 100% because it sticks more to those kind of surfaces than the actual paint.

Can a tar remove take off the overspray?
It could but start with the least aggressive method which would be the clay bar treatment (Like our Wash and Wax service) and helps remove those paint contaminants first and then go with the tar removal but do not let it dry on your paint and work section by section.
